“We call upon everyone to avoid behavior that may be seen as provocative or disrespectful to the religious activities. Whoever is found engaging in such acts will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he emphasized.

The Way of the Cross is a key event in the Christian calendar during the Easter season, marked by public prayers and processions that often draw significant numbers of believers. In response, police have announced plans to deploy officers in various locations to guide participants and provide security throughout the activities.

Kigozi further appealed to the public to cooperate with security agencies to ensure a smooth and incident-free event.“While we are committed to providing adequate security, we also need the full cooperation of the public to make these celebrations safe and successful,” he added

The guidelines come amid heightened preparations for the Easter period, a time typically characterized by increased travel and large gatherings, prompting authorities to reinforce measures aimed at protecting lives and property across the region.
